The waterproof metal cover increases the protection class and protects the filter fans, intake and exit filters. It protects against water projected by a hose and extreme climatic influences when located outdoors or in industrial applications with harsh environmental conditions.
To clean the filter fans or change the filter mat, the hood can be easily removed without opening the cabinet (which poses a safety risk).
