The T adapter is designed to be used to transmit two signals over a single 4-pair network cable. It is designed to be used in pairs (at one end it combines the signals from two UTP cables and transmits over one cable, and at the other end by placing an analog adapter, it will separate those signals).

This is because the signal is transmitted over a network cable through only two of the four pairs. This adapter utilizes all four pairs of network cable and transmits two signals.
