Industrial Gigabit Ethernet Fiber Media Converter is designed for reliable data transmission in demanding industrial and outdoor environments. The device converts a 10/100/1000 Mbps Ethernet signal into an optical connection, enabling stable long-distance communication while protecting the network against electromagnetic interference and electrical surges. Depending on the model, the converters are available with 1, 2 or 4 RJ45 ports, as well as Multi-Mode, Single-Mode or Bi-Directional (BiDi) fiber optic interfaces.
The rugged IP40 aluminum enclosure, wide operating temperature range, and surge protection make these converters suitable for use in manufacturing facilities, power and utility installations, transportation infrastructure, outdoor communication cabinets, and weatherproof enclosures. The devices can be mounted on a standard DIN rail or directly on a wall, allowing easy integration into electrical, automation, and telecommunications cabinets.
